The tactile clicky switch often referred to as the "blue" switch due to the color of the slider makes a click sound as the switch is pressed. Generally this switch has a pronounced tactile bump right before it clicks. Blue Switches have a two-part slider mechanism that produces the loud click.
The Blue switch was first designed several decades ago by Cherry Corp. Since their creation, many companies have produced their own versions. Most manufacturers have maintained the blue color when making clicky switches. Razer and Epic Gear are two manufacturers who have produced clicky tactile switches with green and purple stems.
We have tested a wide variety of the tactile clicky switches available on the market and have constructed this comparative list. We have tested the following switches and provided links to product pages where keyboards with the various switches can be acquired.
