Modern Cherry MX White switches are based on MX White Type A switches, which have been out of production since the late 1980s. They are known as “Milk” switches in Asian markets. MX Green switches are their closest relative in Cherry’s catalog.
MX White switches are characterized by a crisp, clean snap and medium-heavy feel. Their force curve exhibits sharp, well placed tactile events with minimal rattle. That is, in part, due to low friction. Most Cherry products with click mechanisms exhibit significant vibration after clicking or resetting. MX White sets itself apart by avoiding those pitfalls.
