Kaihua Brown

Kaihua Brown switches are an MX Brown clone, but significant performance differences render that a technicality. They’re less raspy, which may be related to slider and contact design choices.

The force curve also exhibits some alterations. Tactility seems less grainy due to an earlier force ramp. The tactile event itself is also much longer, which gives it a rounded feel. The additional tactility may be an effort to maintain switch feel after heavy use.

NOTE: We selected the Kaihua Brown SMD LED compatible switch for the K-Type. In our opinion, its smooth and consistent force curve provides a better typing experience than other competitors. Clear housings (which offer better light dispersion), LED light pipes (which help keep lighting bright and even), and hot swap compatibility were also valuable features for the project.
